Extension of temporary closure of Bridleway

There is a temporary closure of part of the Bridleway KP16 to allow works to the Sandy Lane Relief Road

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above Order made by West Northamptonshire Council on 4th December 2025 and which came into effect on 11th December 2025 has been extended until the works to which it relates have been completed or until midnight on 11th December 2026 whichever is sooner by the Secretary of State for Transport. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said bridleway is unaffected.

 

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The extension is required for health and safety reasons as works to the bridleway cannot be completed due to conflicting road closures currently in place.

SCHEDULE

(Length of bridleway to be closed)

 

The route to be closed commences at point A on the Order map at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP 7055 6074 on the western side of the Sandy Lane relief road and proceeds north-east crossing the road and proceeding for 34 metres to terminate at point B at NGR SP 7058 6076. The route to be closed is shown by a solid black line between points A and B.

 

 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: There are no suitable alternative routes.
