Speed Monitor Data
Did you know that our speed signs can do much more than simply display vehicle speeds?
The signs record valuable traffic data, including vehicle speeds, traffic volumes and travel patterns. This information can then be exported and analysed, helping us to better understand traffic issues in our community and identify areas where improvements may be needed.
By collecting real data, we can provide evidence when discussing road safety concerns with the relevant authorities.
From the below graphs – you can see that in May, the top speed of somebody coming into the 30mph on Larkhall Lane was doing 67mph.
The top speed of someone leaving the 30mph zone and going into the 40mph was 97mph.
