May 2026 PCSO Monthly Update

Harpole Only Summary

In May 2026, Harpole recorded a total of eight relevant incidents in the report: two domestic incidents, two thefts, one road traffic collision, one drug possession offence, one weapons possession offence, and one public order incident.

The theft incidents included one theft from the Vistry site. The drug possession and weapons possession offences both related to the road traffic collision. The public order incident related to the truck stop.

Community engagement in Harpole included a successful bike marking event, where 12 bikes were marked. There was also positive engagement with allotment users, and attendance was planned for the church fete on 6 June.

Ongoing local issues included fly tipping debris linked to travellers, low-level anti-social behaviour affecting residents at Western Gate, and parking concerns around the Baptist church and wider village. Support work at Western Gate included liaison with a housing provider and plans to connect vulnerable residents with local groups and clubs.

The report also raised a suggestion for parish councils and local sports groups to consider purchasing non-police yellow cones to help manage parking pressures, as current police cone supplies require planning to deploy.
