 Harpole

During July and August, Harpole has seen continued neighbourhood activity focused on community reassurance, road safety and anti-social behaviour. Speed enforcement was carried out on Northampton Road and Sandy Lane, with three vehicles detected travelling above the speed limit and dealt with accordingly. Parking concerns, particularly around Garners Way, have been monitored and there has been an improvement in vehicles parking on yellow lines, although this will remain under observation.

There were reports of youths causing issues at the Bowls Club, and words of advice were given around appropriate use of cycles and gathering in public spaces. Concerns were also raised in the Lime Grove and Western Gate area regarding mopeds, scooters and a quad being used irresponsibly. Owners and parents have been spoken to, warnings have been issued where appropriate, and further action can be taken if problems continue.

Additional reassurance work has included supporting a previous scam victim who received a fraudulent lottery letter, with the matter referred on for intelligence purposes, and resolving concerns about golf balls being driven into a local farmer’s field. Overall, issues in Harpole, including those linked to Sandy Lane and the wider South View area, are being actively monitored through patrols, engagement and follow-up with residents where required.

Recent crime statistics for Harpole recorded for domestic incidents, assaults, harassment and burglary, alongside offences recorded specifically in Harpole, including two stalking incidents, two criminal damage incidents and two assaults, which are noted as domestic related. Burglary affecting Harpole included one building site incident and one domestic incident during July and August 2026.
