April 2026 PCSO Monthly Update
Harpole-only summary
In April 2026, Harpole saw targeted neighbourhood policing activity focused on community engagement, parking concerns, low-level antisocial behaviour and reassurance patrols. Key Harpole incidents recorded in the wider ward data included one stop search, one fraud incident involving a vulnerable male being supported by the fraud team, and Harpole’s inclusion in two vehicle theft reports across Bugbrooke and Harpole.
The PCSO reported positive early engagement in the village, including interaction with young people, visits to the pre-school, nursery and primary school, and attendance at Manning Watts House coffee mornings. Parking around schools was identified as a key local concern, with three yellow warning notices issued to vehicles parked on double yellow lines and one driver asked to move a vehicle fully parked on the pavement.
There were reports of low-level antisocial behaviour between neighbours on part of the new estate and issues involving youths around Western Gate. Police also assisted with an area search following a theft from the new housing estate, where their presence appeared to deter further offending, and attended a large car meet at Panattoni Park, which dispersed quickly. A traveller encampment on the edge of the village had left by the time of reporting, and mess left behind was reported to Street Doctor.
The PCSO also confirmed attendance at the Harpole AGM on Thursday 14 May and promoted this through Northants Talking to encourage local attendance.
