Being a Parish Councillor is an incredibly rewarding role that gives you the chance to shape the future of Harpole. Whether it’s improving local services, creating safer spaces, or addressing important local issues, your voice and ideas can make a big difference.

With all the new houses and other infrastructure being built, there are lots of changes in Harpole in the next 4 years, as a Parish Councillor you will be able to help make decisions on how to make this work best for Harpole.

You don’t have to be a politician or have experience in local government. If you care about your community and are willing to dedicate your time and ideas, you’re exactly the kind of person we need!

You won’t be alone! The Parish Council is made up of a team of individuals who are all focused on making the community a better place. As a Councillor, you’ll have the chance to collaborate, learn, and grow while helping others.

As a Parish Councillor, you’ll attend regular meetings, discuss local issues, and vote on decisions that affect your parish. You’ll be expected to represent the views of your community and be a voice for your neighbours, bringing their concerns and ideas to the table.

It’s simple to stand for election—just follow the nomination process outlined by the Parish Council. You don’t need a political background, just a passion for your community and a desire to help it grow and thrive.
